First, start your computer, and connect to your iTunes account. Click on the iTunes official application. It will launch iTunes on your computer. Open iTunes and click the 'Store' menu followed by 'Authorize This Computer'. Enter your 'Apple ID' and 'Password' and click 'Authorize'. Remember, you can use the same Apple ID and Password for authorizing up to 5 devices. Your Mac is now ready to use iTunes in full swing. Just enter the Apple ID and password associated with the content you're trying to access and Apple will automatically authorize iTunes on your PC or Mac. If you'd like to manually authorize iTunes, just go to the Store menu in the OS X menu bar and select Authorize This Computer. Launch Musicapp on your Mac. Now, click on the Accountmenu and choose Authorizations. From the Apple menu, select Log Out user name, then log in using an administrator account. After you log in with an administrator account, launch iTunes, select Authorize This Computer from the Store menu, and provide the appropriate Apple ID and password. Log out once again, then log in to your user account and play the song again.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to 'de-authorize all' from your iTunes account.


1. Open iTunes on a computer

2. From the Store menu, select 'View my Account...'

3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.

4. Under 'Computer Authorizations' select 'De-authorize All'.

5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.


You may only do this once per year.
